      EVENT DETAILS
      Adult Field Day

Nonprofit organization Going Places has partnered with On Purpose Adventures to host the first Adult Field Day.  Teams will compete in a variety of field day-style events: three-legged race, crab walk, spoon relay, bear crawl, gloved ball toss, wheelbarrow, tandem skis, combat archery, tug-of-war, water relay and more. All proceeds from the event will benefit Going Places, which buys bikes for disadvantaged kids. The money raised from the Adult Field Day will be used to purchase new bikes for all 425 disadvantaged children who attend Sanders-Clyde Elementary School in downtown Charleston.

There are two team divisions: the “competitive athletes” (higher intensity competition among more athletically trained teams) and the “average joe’s” (the “everyday person” teams). Teams of six to 10 people will rotate through stations of organized games and competitions.

Cost is $400 per team of six to 10 people; includes games, one meal choice and three beers. Register online by April 21.
