      Gracie & Lacy: Gloriously Gatsby

NORTH CHARLESTON - Throwback is making a comeback in the North Charleston Arts Festival. With the centennial of the Roaring Twenties upon us, local sister duo Gracie & Lacy and popular pianist Joe Clarke will pay tribute to the Lowcountry’s rich Jazz Age history with "Gloriously Gatsby.” The May 1st performance will be performed dinner-theatre-style at the North Charleston Marriott at 7pm. Locals and tourists alike have come to expect a vintage vibe from Gracie & Lacy who weave fascinating history into their frequently sold-out shows. This show will highlight “The Charleston” song as well as it’s signature dance dance form that was influenced by the rhythmic dances of the Gullah Community. Both the song and dance were wildly popular in Charleston during the 1920s thanks to famed Jenkins Orphanage Band that would provide lively accompaniment inspiring locals of all ages to dance in the streets. With 2020 just around the corner, Gloriously Gatsby is expected to be Gracie & Lacy’s most popular show for exclusive corporate and private events next year. At the public appearance on May 1st, audiences can be sure Gracie & Lacy will be dressed to the nines in Flapper-style attire, and it is not uncommon for attendees to also don their vintage best. So dust off your fedora and and join in the fun - dinner is included with your ticket price of $40, with a discount available for groups of four or more. Shhh . . . a cash bar will be available, but since it’s Prohibition, please be discreet! For more information:
