      Transitioning to Lean-Agile practices for building digital services is especially challenging in the government context. But legacy governance, contracting, and organizational barriers can be overcome with the right information and strategies. During this two-day course, attendees will learn the principles and practices of the Scaled Agile Framework® (SAFe®), how to execute and release value through Agile Release Trains, and what it means to lead a Lean-Agile transformation of a program inside a government agency. Attendees will gain an understanding of the Lean-Agile mindset and why it’s an essential foundation for transformation. They’ll also get practical advice on building high performing multi-vendor Agile teams and programs, managing technology investments in Lean flow, acquiring solutions with Agile contracting, launching the program, planning, and delivering value using SAFe, and how specific leadership behaviors can drive successful organizational change, even in government. This course is designed for government leaders and influencers who can guide the decision to adopt SAFe within their agency or program. The following individuals will benefit from this course:  Executives, directors, branch chiefs Managers of development, engineering, QA, architecture, operations, support Program and project managers Program/Project Management Office (PMO) Annual Renewal Membership renewals are one year from the date certification is earned Renewal fee: $100 Attendees may be eligible to apply for 15 PDUs toward their continuing education requirements with the Project Management Institute (PMI) for PMP, PgMP, and PMI-ACP certifications Attendees may be eligible to apply for SEUs under category C, toward earning or renewing their CSP through Scrum Alliance About the Trainer Tom Hashem, Experienced SAFe Coach Tom Hashem is a certified SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) and Release Train Engineer (RTE). Tom has successfully transformed  numerous commercial and federal organizations to Agile implementations to help them successfully establish better ways of working. He is passionate about Behavioral Driven Development and improving system development through improved Software Quality Assurance practices. Tom provides SAFe training and coaching to teams and leaders, supporting them in achieving improved outcomes for their business and their customers.  FAQs  What's the refund policy?     Refunds can be requested through your Eventbrite account up to 30 days before the start of training.  What if we cancel training class?     We take cancellations seriously because we realize it takes planning for you to find the time to enroll in training class. Although we do all we can to avoid cancelling class, occasionally it happens. If we cancel a training class, we will either refund your money 100% or help you find another date to transfer your reservation.  Does our registration fee include lunch and breakfast?    YES! Continental breakfast, snacks and lunch are included with the registration fee.  Is there an additional cost for training materials?   NO. The cost of materials is included with the registration fee.
